- ❙ By: ANNIE L. VILLA, T-III, Agkawayan Integrated School

“Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world.” If there is one thing that adult must remember is that we are always the example that the children need and desire for. Children always see us as people they often look up to. For instance, cleanliness and orderliness always comes side by side. We will never realize the importance how essential cleanliness is until we get to know the disadvantage it could give us. This is why, it is very important that children know at the very young age how being clean and being in order can change lives.

1. PROPER HYGIENE. Everything starts with their own personal hygiene. If children know how to take care of themselves, they can avoid getting diseases and they can play as much as they want to.

2. KNOWING WHERE TO PROPERLY DISPOSE GARBAGE. Children must be fully aware where and how to dispose trash and garbage properly. Knowing the use of 3Rs, Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle is a big help in teaching children to love and conserve mother Earth as well.

3. FOLLOWING SCHOOL GUIDANCE DO’S AND DON’TS. Cleanliness and orderliness come when children obey school regulations. School regulations exists to ensure that the school provides the best service they can offer. It is very essential that children follow it because it will also help every child to know the value of obeying and following. Remember, maintaining order and cleanliness is paramount to the effectiveness and productivity of workers. Conversely, clutter or dirt causes problems such as loss of time, delays in meeting the goals or even risks of accidents at school.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness, be clean always. The one who maintain cleanliness keeps away diseases.( Contributed article)
