MAYOR’S CONFRONTATION VIDEO GOES VIRAL ON SOCIAL MEDIA

A CONTROVERSIAL VIDEO is circulating on social media showing an “exploding” Mayor Tanoy Escolin of President Roxas, Capiz. The person he was confronting was not shown in the video by however was recording the heated exchange of words.

Of course, the video set tongues wagging. Damo marites sa President Roxas giving their reactions and making theories bisan wala sila kahibalo sang puno kag punta sang natabo. Haslo!

To set the record straight once and for all, Mayor Tanoy gave context to the video – his version of the story.

According to the mayor, after overseeing the installation of Christmas lights in the public plaza, he stopped by a convenience store where two municipal employees were hanging out with his former Municipal Planning and Development Officer (MPDO). He asked them kuno if the vicinity was well-lit.

While the two employees answered his question, said Mayor Tanoy, the exMPDO kuno seemed to give him a disapproving look.

This kuno prompted Mayor Tanoy to further ask: “Mr. ex-MPDO, manami man magtambay sa masanag nga lugar?”

Instead of responding kuno, according to the mayor, the ex- MPDO chief mocked him.

This upset him, said Mayor Tanoy. He felt he was being both insulted and disrespected kuno.

Unable to restrain himself, the mayor admitted issuing strong words.

To the people of President Roxas, Mayor Tanoy appealed for understanding. In fairness to the mayor, he’s only human and it’s natural to react to provocations. Of course, the ex-MPDO likely has his own version of what happened, too. For sure, it is also interesting, kag basi may mga pasabog pa gid siya. Abangan!

Ayon sa aming bubuwit, the mayor and his then MPDO once shared a cordial relationship, but the dynamics changed kuno and turned sour after the MPDO’s resignation.

But why did the MPDO resign? Ano ang rason?
