Learn more than just sushi and tempura at Enderun Extension. On July 31, Aug. 7 and 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., learn the proper way of preparing Japanese dishes.

To be conducted by Chef Marcelo Mahinay, Japanese sous chef of Torii Japanese Restaurant at the Cairo Marriot Hotel and the Omar Khayyam Casino in Egypt, the three-day workshop will cover Sushi Variety on July 31.

This will include fish cutting techniques, varieties of hand rolls, and sushi creation among others. Aug. 7 will cover Donburi specialtie­s such as Tendon, Tonkatsudo­n, Tempura Udon and Soba. And Day Three will offer Nabemono dishes, which include Sukiyaki, Nabemono, Shabu-Shabu and the different sauces that complement them.

Inclusive of ingredient­s and recipes, the course may be taken per day at only P3,900 or P4,200 for the entire three-day session.
