According to my Dubai-based friend, an agent here in Manila didn’t remit Vice’s talent fee. “It’s not the first time that the same agent ran away with the money,” my source revealed. “He did the same thing with Tinangay ang $60,000 deposit, that’s why her show in Dubai last year had to be canceled.”
It’s sad that this agent is giving Pinoy concert promoters in Dubai a bad name. It’s not fair at all. I’ve seen for myself how hardworking our kababayan impresarios are in Dubai when I was there for Monteswati’s production of show. All they want is to bring cheer to homesick Pinoys in the UAE. Shame on that double-crossing agent! He has no place in the City of Gold because he’s such a phony.
