-

GOLDEN ABC (GABC), the country’s fashion pioneer and owner of leading brands Penshoppe, Oxygen, Forme, Memo, Regatta, Tyler, and its direct-selling subsidiary Red Logo, was presented with the People Program of the Year (PPY) citation by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) at their 35th Awards Night held recently in Cagayan de Oro city.

Bernie H. Liu, CEO & president of GABC, received the award that recognized the company’s “AFTER 6” program as a testament to the leadership and excellence of its relevant, unique, innovative and cutting-edge human capital program.

Liu gave credit to his 2000-strong employees nationwide. “I thank our employees for embracing an attitude of gratitude that has led to widespread volunteerism and participation even after work hours. In the same way that our programs aim to develop them, they develop our programs as well. Together with our employees, we hope to become the most admired Asian fashion brands company,” added Liu.

The employee-driven nature of the “AFTER 6 “program has also largely contributed to GABC’S success. Employees are free to choose the activities they wish to participate in, fostering a sense of volunteerism among peers and colleagues, allowing for healthy interaction among employees from different divisions, breaking down the barriers that would normally deter communication both in and out of work.

“AFTER 6” is Golden ABC’S program for development activities, and the vehicle of the company’s core values and culture, putting employees in the spotlight and giving them ownership of their chosen activities.
