Telecom network engineering program now in PH
IMPERIAL College of Melbourne, Australia, and the Australian International School (AIS) are introducing in the Philippines the telecommunications network engineering (TNE) program.
The partner-schools said the ground-breaking program would provide multiple opportunities to graduates, as the world was increasingly becoming digitally connected.
Classes for the four-month program will be held on weekends to accommodate part-time students starting March 23 at campus of AIS.
AIS executive director Tony Esteban said the TNE program the school was offering was the first of its kind here. With its curriculum and expertise, he said, the Imperial College of Telecommunications and Management would give Filipinos an advantage in the world employment market.
The TNE program consists of two parts, depending on the objective of the student. Completing the first term will enable the student to get a
the
Taguig certificate accreditation in broadband and wireless networks. The second part will earn him/her the graduate diploma in TNE, which would qualify him/her to management jobs in major telecommunication firms here or abroad.
Esteban said students could expect to be equipped with the right knowledge and know-how to earn international qualifications in telecommunications.
