-

THE NEW book “The War on Cancer” provides pointers on combating the dreaded disease via traditional Chinese herbal medicines.

Written by Philip Chen, the secretary-general of Hong Kong International Rehabilitation Association, the book analyzes the causes and effects of cancer in the modern world, as well as its various treatments. “Along with traditional treatment and western medical diagnosis, Chinese herb medicines have had several successful cases in curing or mitigating all kinds of diseases for thousands of years, including cancer. Today, Chinese herb medicine has been regarded as safe and effective medicine to most diseases,” writes the news critic of Phoenix New Media Inc.

The book is made available to all Filipino readers via National Book Store and other leading bookstores. It incorporates important facts, data and practical proof that will transform one’s viewpoint of traditional Chinese medicine, thus eliminating the mind-set that cancer is terminal.

The United States Cancer Control Society, headed by its president, Frank Cousineau, has endorsed the book, declaring it “worthy, trusting and sincerely a descriptive masterpiece.”

Book author Chen, also a design consultant for “Discovery Taiwan,” has accompanied famous Western and Chinese doctors and medical teams for the past 20 years, in visits to cancer friends around the world.

The book endorses the combination of both Chinese and Western medications.
