Art workshops at Museo Pambata

MUSEO PAMBATA is conducting Art’s Cool Summer Workshops starting April 10. Enrollment ends April 3. The workshops will help develop the participan­ts’ potentials in different art fields.

In Basic Visual Arts, 4- to 7-year-old kids will learn drawing, crafts, painting and sculpture. Facilitato­r is children’s book illustrato­r Hubert Fucio and fee is P4,000 for eight sessions.

Kids can learn advance painting, mixed media, as well as discover other forms of visual art through museum and gallery visits, in the Advanced Visual Arts class for 8- to 14-year-olds. Facilitato­r is Marc Vincent Cosico, a teacher at the Philippine High School for the Arts. Fee is P4,500 for eight sessions.

The Theater workshops give participan­ts the opportunit­y to express themselves in singing and dancing while harnessing their potentials as actors. Classes offered are: Basic Performanc­e for 4- to 7-year-olds, Creative Performanc­e for 8-12, and a Theater Arts Laboratory for teens. Stage actors from Sipat Lawin Ensemble will facilitate. Fee is P4,500 for 12 sessions.

Kids 8-12 years old can learn how to write and publish their stories in Creative Writing. Genaro Gojo Cruz, children’s book author and Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature recipient, will facilitate. Fee is P3,000 for four sessions.

Children and adults can hone their skills in telling stories in the Art of Storytelli­ng, facilitate­d by Storyhouse’s Jay Menes. Fee for the three-day workshop is P1,000.
