40 days that can change your life

-

THE INTERNATIONAL Cabin Attendant Training School (ICATS) offers a 40-day intensive course that Filipino youths dreaming to see the world can take during the summer break.

In fact, 85 students have now realized their dreams, having been accepted as flight attendants of topnotch airlines.

Princess Joy Garcia, the ICATS chief executive officer/cmo, said graduates had been hired by Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, Nas Air (a sister company of Saudi Arabian Airlines) and Yemenia Airways, among others.

Garcia attributed this to ICATS’ curriculum, which was based on standards set by international flight attendant schools. Included in the five-module training are personality development, aircraft familiarization, emergency situation and procedures, customer relationship and services, and onboard service.

Students also get hands-on training from qualified and competent instructors with years of experience working for major international airlines.

Garcia said students are taught how to apply theories they learned in school in actual airline setting.

The ICATS module on personality development was also considered helpful.

Students are taught how to apply makeup, proper manners and etiquette in different settings, good posture, etc. There are also sessions on how to pass an interview.

ICATS has a job assistance program, helping students land a job beyond the usual recommendation letter.

Garcia encouraged people who did not know what to do during summer to spend 40 days at ICATS and see how it could change their lives and their outlook.
