USC dean, assistant dean nominated in German courses
CENTRO Escolar University has been granted with Level IV accreditation for its dentistry, nutrition and dietetics, and optometry programs by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) as certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).
This makes CEU the first university in the country to receive such accreditation. The university has consistently surpassed the set national passing percentage of licen- sure examinations, and has also produced board topnotchers on a regular basis.
The university, with its modern and well-equipped facilities, is frequently used as a venue for the practical board examinations for Dentistry and Optometry, while CEU’s Nutrition and Dietetics graduates registered a 100 percent passing percentage in board examinations.
The recognition is a demonstration of the schools’ excellent performance in teaching and learning outcomes, research productivity, community services, linkages to the different business and academic institutions here and abroad, quality assurance mechanisms, as well as its career planning and development schemes.
Other CEU programs that have reached PACUCOA’s Level IV accreditation are Biology, Psychology, Pharmacy, and Business Administration. Most of CEU’s Level IV accredited programs are firsts in the country. THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos has nominated Dr. Challoner Matero, dean of the School of Business and Economics and professor of Accountancy, to the International Deans’ Course Southeast Asia 2012-2013 of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Osnabrueck and Berlin, Germany from June 18 to 28.
