MEMBER schools of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the oldest collegiate league in the country, joined hands to put up a school clinic for the Lyceum of Camiguin.

Represented by the president of the policy board and the rector and president of Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Fr. Tamerlane R. Lana, O.P., handed a check amounting to P100,000 to Fr. Tereso Campillo, O.P. on June 15 at the Blessed Antonio Verona, O.P. Gymnasium. The amount will be used for the build- ing of the clinic.

Member schools each donated P5,000, while the remainder of the donated funds came from NCAA funds directly.

“Nagbigay yung mga member schools natin ng P50,000 kasi napakita natin sa kanila yung situation ng mga estudyante doon (Member schools gave P50,000 because they saw the need of the students),” Fr. Victor Calvo, O.P., chair of the NCAA management committee said.

“Walang

clinic

dun,

so

ang mga estudyante natin pag may sakit, umuuwi na lang (The school does not have a clinic, so when the students are sick, they just go home),” Fr. Calvo said. “Malaking tulong talaga sa kanila (The clinic will really be a big help),” he added.

Lyceum of Camiguin is one of Letran’s longtime partner communities.
