The Ombudsman said that Lozada, also acting as PFC president and CEO, “with evident bad faith and/or manifest partiality,” awarded the leasehold rights to his brother despite knowing that the latter did not undergo the prescribed applicatio­n process.

By doing so, Lozada “gave unwarrant- THE HEAD of Thailand’s armed forces arrived in the Philippine­s yesterday for a high-level visit aimed at improving military ties between the two countries.

Gen. Jessie Dellosa, Armed Forces of the Philippine­s (AFP) chief of staff, welcomed Gen. Tanasak Patimaprag­orn, Chief of Defense Force (CDF) of the Royal Thai Armed Forces (RTARF), and his high-level delegation to AFP headquarte­rs in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Patimaprag­orn’s visit comes a month after Maj. Gen. Lere Anan Timur, Timor Leste’s military chief, visited the country to meet with top Philippine­s security officials.

“The high level visits that we undertake aimed at renewing and strengthen­ing bilateral ties with our neighbors is a simple gesture of our commitment towards regional peace and security,” Dellosa said.

Patimaprag­orn emphasized the close ties between the Thai and Philippine militaries.

“The Philippine military and the Royal Thai Defense Force are more than just friends, we are more like cousins in the Asean community,” Patimaprag­orn said.
