Seminar on new global trade terms

THE CENTER for Global Best Practices, with the International Chamber of Commerce, will hold a special seminar on “New Incoterms: The International Rules in the Interpretation of Trade Terms” on Dec. 7 at the Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.

The seminar is accredited by the Supreme Court for the mandatory continuing legal education of lawyers.

A new set of rules on Incoterms (shipping terms for land, air and sea) in all international trade transactions took effect globally in 2011.

The new rules are more relevant to business transactions and cargo security issues.

Understanding the terms and incorporating them in sales contracts can help eliminate uncertainties and costly mistakes.
