Perfect Vu-ing with LG’S 5” smartphone

- By Marlet Salazar

LG OPTIMUS Vu (pronounced as “view”) further heats up the smartphones and tablets market. Its 5-inch smartphone was recently launched in the Philippines boasting of various features to make consumers’ social media experience more fun.

These days, a device should be able to meet a user’s work and entertainment needs, something that Optimus Vu fulfills. E-books and digital magazines are so much easier to read with Optimus Vu’s IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This is also use- ful for PowerPoint presentation and video streaming.

The Optimus Vu also has the reliable NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor featuring the 4-plus-1 functionality that allows for superior performance. To also make it more energy efficient when using heavy-duty processing like games or videos, only the four primary cores are used and the fifth core is left for simple tasks such as listening to music, calls, sending SMS or email.

The smartphone operates on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, runs on 3G network, has 32 gigabytes of memory, comes with an 8-megapixel camera at the back and 1.3 mp in front, measures 139.6 x 90.4 x 8.5mm, and weighs only 168g.

Philippine buyers may opt for a leather case (available in two colors, depending on the color of the unit purchased), a stylus pen, and a 3,000 mAh portable power storage with every purchase of the Optimus Vu.

The Optimus Vu is now available at all LG Mobile Concept Stores nationwide for P27,990.
