Partnership seeks to uplift lives of Filipinos

-

THE YEAR started well for the First Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA), which, represented by Roy Agustin K. Evalle, general manager for leadership succession and development, signed an agreement with Danilo V. Paragas, Smart Asia International Staffing Services (SA) president & CEO, formalizing the two firms’ partnership.

Under the agreement signed last Jan. 11, FPLA will train identified personnel from the SA manpower pool for their eventual deployment in high-tech, high-demand industries abroad.

Currently running, FPLA’s program trains potential linemen for the Freedom Group U.K., a world-class provider of engineering services to the utility sector and wider markets, working primarily with various electricity distribution networks. This new Lineman Program was designed by Barrie Browning, regional director, and Paul Parfitt, operations manager, both of Freedom Group U.K.

FPLA-trained linemen are fully equipped to become UKcertified linemen for the British electric utilities sector once deployed through Smart Asia.

Through this partnership, FPLA and SA will continue to develop people for them to be empowered leaders in their respective fields, working toward building the nation from within and from abroad.

“This partnership is very important since both FPLA and Smart Asia have a common desire to uplift the lives of our countrymen. FPLA will prepare them through the technical-training program while SmartAsia will deploy them to work in another country, benefiting both the individual and the Philippine economy,” Evalle said.
