SHOPWISE INDUCTED INTO OFR HALL OF FAME

THE COUNTRY’S first and original hypermarket, Shopwise, now counts itself among the prestigious Hall of Fame Awardees, as it was again hailed as ‘Outstanding Hypermarket’ at the recently concluded 16th Outstanding Filipino Retailers and Shopping Centers of the Year Awards Night (OFR-SCY). Held last Jan. 22 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom, Shopwise once again bested other entries in the Full Line Department Store/ Hypermarket category for the third time, earning it a spot in the institution’s prestigious Hall of Fame for retail excellence. Shopwise first won the Outstanding Hypermarket award in 2005, and again, in 2011. Accepting the award from current DTI Undersecretary, Zenaida Maglaya (left) were Rustan’s Supercenters, Inc. (RSCI) president, Donnie V. Tantoco (middle), and RSCI vice president for Shopwise, Kerwin Legarde (right). Tantoco and Legarde also received the 1st Runner-up Award in the Supermarket Category for Rustan’s Supermarkets.
