AN ANCIENT tradition in China, the Chinese New Year signifies the start of the Lunar calendar. It has been customary for families and friends to get together and celebrate this festivity with a sumptuous feast, generous gift-giving, colorful decorations and loud cheers to welcome a prosperous year ahead. This 2013, Dusit Thani Manila greets guests with a loud “Kung Hei Fat Choi” and a spectacular feast of traditional oriental fare.

Basix all-day dining restaurant

Basix eagerly sets up the festivities with a sumptuous lunch and dinner buffet offered from Feb. 8 to 10. Taking centerstage in the buffet spread is an abundance of Chinese and Asian dishes such as assorted dim sum, noodle soup and appetizers.
