Lavish feast

-

Until today, Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila welcomes the Year of the Snake with lavish feasts of authentic Cantonese cuisine. Chef de cuisine Andy Chan and his team of masterchefs have created unique menus with traditional Chinese cuisine that represent the joy, prosperity and fortune expected in this New Year.

A few symbolic dishes include dried oyster to represent good business, hair moss to signify wealth, whole fish to indicate a wish for abundance and rice cakes, or gao, which symbolize progress.

At the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant, Li Li, guests can choose from three kinds of set menus available until today, featuring such specialty items as suckling pig with jellyfish, braised dried oyster with hair moss and sea cucumber, wok-fried duck breast with sea cucumber fillet in XO chili sauce, and steamed live garoupa with crispy minced beans.

Guests can also look forward to dim sum creations at a special Chinese New Year Yum Cha for P2,388 net per person, available until today, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

As part of the Chinese New Year YumCha, there will also be a Peking duck station, where guests can feast on the meat and crispy skin of Peking duck flown in all the way from Hong Kong. Festivities continue at Market Café as the Asian show kitchen will offer a bounty of Chinese culinary favorites such as Peking duck, hot and sour soup and Szechuan chicken.
