NREA OFFICERS' INDUCTION ONFEB. 19

THE NATIONAL Real Estate Associatio­n (NREA) is holding its inaugural business meeting on February 19, 2013 (Tues.), starting at 6:30 p. m. at Ballroom of Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City.

Benigno T. Cabrieto, NREA national president, announced that its 2013 set of officers will be sworn to office, for which DILG Secretary Mar Roxas had been invited as special guest to lead the induction.

The occasion, chaired by outgoing NREA president, and in-coming Vice Chairperso­n Marissa del Mar, also doubles as the group's postValent­ine celebratio­n and honor dinner.

The other officers are: Jose V. Manalad, chairman emeritus; Alejandro Manalac, board chairman; Gilda Lim, executive vice president; Jose Orlando Ruiz, vice president-external; Jeannette Co, vice President-internal; Joel Jimenez, vice president-chapters; Rufino Lopez, Jr., secretary general; Ernesto Angeles, treasurer; Abelardo M. Tolentino, Jr., auditor and Grace Layug, P.R.O.

Members of the board of trustees are: Ruth Marie Atienza, Antonio V. Syyap, Rodolfo Leonen and Zenaida Fruto.

Also invited guest and resource speaker is Hon. Teresita R. Manzala, Chairperso­n of Profession­al Regulation Commission.

She will brief the participan­ts on the advances in the profession­alization of the real estate practice in our country, as well as the status of the controvers­y regarding the Accredited Integrated Profession­al Organizati­on (AIPO), as ushered in by the RESA Law, whose implementa­tion is being spearheade­d by the Profession­al Regulatory Board for Real Estate Services (PRBRES) under the Profession­al Regulation­s Commission (PRC).

Assisting in the preparatio­ns are EVP Gilda Lim, VP Jeannette Co, Sec. Gen. Jun Lopez, PRO Grace Layug, Trustees Tony Syyap & Ruth Atienza; Bobby Vicencio, Noli D. Hernandez, Carmina A. Sotto, Rodrigo Tadifa, Mike Mendoza, and Arnold Garcia.
