Chocolates and wine on Valentine’s Day

Chapoutier Crozes Hermitage Les Varonniers 2007, a very stylish wine with notes of blackberry, pepper, tobacco and cocoa and lingering black tea and iron notes on the finish; Chateau Bernadotte 2006, which features a sweet cherry nose with a hint of vanilla and a fruity palate; and Dr. Loosen 2009’s Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese, which opens with a mild and attractive peach bouquet, and tantalizes with notes of apple. The 2009 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese is light-bodied and graceful on the palate.
