UK education exhibition slated Feb. 16
THE BRITISH Council Philippines will hold a UK Education Exhibition on Feb. 16, 2-7 p.m., at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel, Makati City. Admission is free. The exhibition, which focuses on increasing overseas education opportunities for Filipinos, will feature 18 institutions: Anglia Ruskin University, Bangor University, Bede’s Summer School, BPP University College of Professional Studies, Bradford College, Chase Academy, City of London College, Hult International Business School–London, Kensington College of Business, London School of Commerce, Mander Portman Woodward, Mayfair School of English, Northumbria University, University of Bedfordshire, University of Glamorgan, University of Northampton, University of Nottingham–Malaysia Campus, University of Glamorgan, University of Sunderland, University of the Arts London, University of Warwick and Waltham Forest College.
Eight institutions are attending the Education UK Exhibition in Manila for the first time: Boarding schools Bede’s Summer School and Chase Academy, BPP University College of Professional Studies, Mander Portman Woodward, Kensington College of Business, Mayfair School of English, University of Bedfordshire and Waltham Forest College.
School representatives will provide detailed information about their respective institutions, as well as answer questions and applications from prospective students.
Those interested in pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom will be able to discuss their options and concerns directly with school representatives. They will also have access to information not readily available on the Internet.
Three workshops will be held on the week of the exhibition.
Northumbria University will deliver a 2-D animation workshop on Feb. 13-14 and a fashion portfolio workshop on Feb. 15. CATS College will hold an Oxford and Cambridge Preparation Course for high school students aspiring to get into UK institutions.
