Makati Shangri-la goes Singaporea­n at Circles Cafe

MAKATI Shangri-La, Manila will welcome sous chef Tan Kheng Boon and assistant sous chef Ricky Young Soon Khiong from Traders Hotel, Singapore, for a Singaporea­n Food Festival at Circles Event Café from Aug. 1 to 10. Diners may satiate their appetites with favorite dishes from Singapore, such as Mee Goreng (spicy fried noodles), Rojak (a mix of potatoes, eggs, bean curd and prawns served with a sweet and spicy chili sauce), Hokkien Mee (seafood noodles with bean sprouts), Laksa (spicy curry noodle soup), and the infamous Singapore Chicken Rice. An exclusive cooking demo will also be offered on Aug. 7 for P2,000 net per person to those who would like to learn various Singaporea­n cooking techniques from the guests chefs. The Singaporea­n Food Festival is priced at P1,460 from Monday to Saturday and P1,750 on Sunday, dinner buffet is priced at P1,735 from Sunday to Thursday and P1,950 from Friday to Saturday. As a special treat, a group of at least four guests dining at Circles Event Cafe from Aug. 1 to 10 will be entitled to a raffle ticket for a chance to win a roundtrip ticket for two to Singapore care of Cebu Pacific Air and accommodat­ions at Traders Hotel Singapore or Shangri-La Singapore.
