Thunderbird in Poro earns Tripadvisor certificate of excellence

THUNDERBIRD Resorts, Poro Point received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence that honors top performing businesses, restaurants and attractions as reviewed by travelers on the world’s largest travel site. To qualify, these businesses must maintain an average rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on Trip Advisor. Additional criteria include volume of reviews and how recently they have been submitted by Trip Advisor travelers. The accolade is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. “We are truly honored to receive the recognition from TripAdvisor, and we give importance to all feedback from our guests,” said Marvin Lanuza, general manager. Thunderbird Resorts Inc, is a global property developer of themed leisure and integrated entertainment. This brand is a unique and recognizable identity in many of its operating countries worldwide. There are two Thunderbird operations in the Philippines that serve as the platform to the entire Southeast Asian market. One of these operations is the Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point, located in San Fernando, La Union. It serves as a gateway to the tourist locations in Baguio, Vigan and Pagudpud. This Mediterraneanthemed resort has been drawing travelers since it opened last 2006. Its structures and amenities are inspired by the Santorini Islands of Greece. It is the second hotel casino to be established in the country that boasts luxurious rooms, villas, restaurants and pools overlooking the West Philippine sea. This is the second commendation given by TripAdvisor. Early this year, it also was recognized as part of the Traveler’s Choice, being one of the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the Philippines.
