Cake decorating classes at Gourdo’s

Cake decorating became easy and accessible 85 years ago in Chicago, USA, when Dewey McKinley Wilton started teaching what would be known as The Wilton Method.

The method seeks to continue age- old craftsmanship while also encouraging creative experimentation. Participants start out with mastering the fundamentals of cake decorating, and then build upon this expertise to express their creativity.

In Manila, Wilton classes are held at Gourdo’s World MarketAlabang Town Center. The classes are taught by certified Wilton Method instructor chef Peachy Juban, also chef- instructor at the De La Salle- College of St. Benilde’s School of Hotel, Restaurant & Institution Management.

Juban got her certification as a Wilton Method instructor in 2010. She has since conducted several cake decorating workshops here and abroad.
