PLDT CEO among Asia's top-ranked executives
PLDT President and CEO Napoleon Nazareno has been ranked among the best telecom CEOs in Asia in the prestigious 2013 All-Asia Executive Team survey conducted by the New Yorkbased Institutional Investor.
Covering 1,600 top analysts and portfolio managers in the world, the survey shows that Nazareno is the only CEO from the Philippines who landed in the list of Best CEOs in Asia for the telecommunications sector.
"We are extremely grateful that the investing community values our efforts to be transparent so that investors have a clearer view of our company," said Nazareno.
Nazareno has been known to personally attend and participate in investors meetings to provide the investor community more in- formation about the company. He has actively participated in conferences initiating face-to-face exchange of information with investors to understand their concerns and suggestions about PLDT.
Also in the roster of Asia's best CEOs in the telecommunications industry are Xiaochu Wang of China Telecom Corp. and Yue Li of China Mobile, Himanshu Kapania of Idea Cellular from India, and Jamuladin Ibrahim of Axiata Group from Malaysia.
Done in January to March this year, the survey collected the opinion of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts, and sell-side analysts who ranked their top four companies and leaders based on their demonstrated excellence in their respective industries. Ranks are weighted by place and aggregated to produce overall buy-side and sell-side rankings for each sector.
