Don’t forget to improve your memory Aug. 18

-

A SEMINAR on how to improve one’s memory will be held on Aug. 18, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., at the College of Social Work and Community Development building, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

Organized by Golden Treasure Skills and Development Program (GTSDP), the seminar will focus on memory loss that may be a symptom of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

World-class memory athlete Christopher E. Carandang and medical experts will discuss and offer solutions on how to improve mental abilities. They will teach skills to “train” one’s memory.

Alzheimer’s causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. Early signs and symptoms of the disease include poor judgement and decision making, inability to manage a budget, difficulty having a conversation and misplacing things.

Carandang said the seminar would teach how to create a “mental cabinet” and proper mental conditioning to enhance memorization skills, which will increase confidence and capability.

Participants will get certificates of training after the seminar. Lunch, snacks and handouts will be provided.

The seminar is open to students, senior citizens, office workers and business people.
