ADBOARD RELIEF OPERATION DRIVE GOES TO LAGUNA

-

THE ADVERTISING Board of the Philippines (AdBoard) extends its relief operations drive to the province of Laguna. Over 1,200 flood-stricken families received goods donated by the marketing communications industry. AdBoard 2013 chair Nonoy Niles led the board of directors and volunteers in the relief operation last Sept. 29 at the Provincial Capitol of Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The typhoons and monsoon rains that yet again devastated the country last August left 69 baranggays in Laguna inundated. Five provinces – San Pedro, Biñan, Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao and Calamba – were under state of calamity. Thousands of families were displaced in different evacuation centers and are in dire need of relief assistance. The Laguna relief drive was the second wave of the Ad- Board’s CSR initiative after first offering donations to the 600 flood-stricken families in Pasay City last August. As relief packages continue to arrive from the kind-hearted members of the marketing communications industry, AdBoard is also sending boxes of goods to evacuees in Zamboanga City. The AdBoard deeply thanks all the generous companies, associations and individuals who made the second relief operation possible: Mr. Boy Pangilinan, Ms. Ang Ong, Ms. Cris Cepeda, Ms. Tessie Howard, CAAP, UPMG, MORES, OAAP, Adobo Magazine, Alaska Milk Corp., JG Summit Holdings, Kimberly-Clark Phils., Monde Nissin, Peerless Products Mftg. Corp., TJN Pasalubong Foods, Unilever Philippines, United Laboratories and Zenith Optimedia and its employees.
