Fairmont Makati awarded ‘Best New City Hotel in Asia’
FAIRMONT MAKATI was awarded Best New City Hotel in Asia at the 24th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2013 ceremony and gala dinner held in Bangkok last Oct. 3.
The deluxe property was voted Best New City Hotel by readers of TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTG Mice, TTG-BTmice China and TTG Asia Luxury.
The Raffles and Fairmont Hotels Makati have garnered a number of accolades and awards from prestigious global and local institutions since its official opening last December.
A sleek 30-story tower in the heart of Makati City is home to the 280-room Fairmont Makati, 32 all-suite Raffles Makati and 237 Raffles Residences.
Early on, the two international luxury hotel brands have been included in the highly coveted world’s best listing of the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine as Best New Hotel, Best New Family Friendly Hotel, and Amazing Pool at Best New Hotel.
In recognition of their service and facilities, Raffles and Fairmont Makati both continue to maintain top rankings in Trip Advisor among 60 hotels in Metro Manila and 620 hotels in Luzon.
Notable culinary awards have been awarded to their talented chefs, too. Pastry chefs Miko Aspiras and Nikki Misa triumphed last May in the international Hong Kong Food Exposition, the largest food and hospitality trade show in Asia.
Spectrum, the all- day dining restaurant of Raffles and Fairmont Makati, has been included in Philippine Tatler’s 2013 Best Restaurants guide, citing its buffet as one of the “best of the best” in the city.
The iconic Long Bar was also short-listed as one of the top nightlife and entertainment destinations as well.
