PMAP supports SM Operation Tulong Express
SM FOUNDATION was chosen to be the recipient of donations from the Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
PMAP hosted a gathering last Nov. 15 at Clubbing TV Ultra Lounge in NewWorld Hotel, Makati City. Members of the PMAP, their friends in the fashion industry and representatives of SM Supermalls gathered to help raise funds for hard-hit areas of the typhoon in the Visayas.
Belvedere and Patron donated bottles to sell with the proceeds, including all other profits, donated to SM Operation Tulong Express. An initiative of SM Foundation and SM Cares, the ongoing donation drive aims to assist families affected by the recent supertyphoon.
“The event is our own way of helping out and touching the lives of those who were affected by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.” We decided to gather the members of PMAP, as well as our friends in and out of the industry, to raise funds to donate to SM Supermalls’ Operation Tulong Express,” said PMAP president Angel Benitez.
“Basically, we chose SM because we were impressed with how they have tried to involve their community members in the efforts to aid those who have been affected by the typhoon. Aside from this, our friends in the fashion industry are also tenants of various SM malls nationwide, which has also been a venue for our past PMAP and other fashion events,” she added.
Currently, SM Foundation is still accepting donations, both in cash and in kind, through their Operation Tulong Express donation booths in all 46 SM malls nationwide.
