Outrageous, if insightful, advice for the problematic
BE LOYAL to your friend. Never mock any gift from her mom. Never forget her birthday. Be present at all the special events in her life.
Sweet. But that’s just the first chapter. The pieces of advice get progressively risqué. Suddenly, the reader is learning how an extramarital affair starts (with no attempt, whatsoever, at being politically correct).
For all the outrageous, wicked, if often insightful, tips, this advice book is definitely less GP (General Patronage) than SGP (“Striktong Gabay at Patnubay”).
DJ Chacha’s (MOR 101.9) counseling program, “Heartbeats with Chacha Babes” is now in print, as “Napakasakit Ate Chacha: Mga Usapang Malikot, Maharot at Makirot.”
Released by ABS-CBN Publishing Inc., the book contains relationship tips previously given on the late-night chat show.

“The experience of completing this compilation made me appreciate the calls I get from my listeners every day. At the same time, I discovered that, aside from talking, I could write!” said Chacha (Czarina Marie Balba). She acknowledged help from station head head Roxy Liquigan, editor Grace Libero and writer-friend Butch Guerrero, who recently passed away.
How can a man tell that the girl of his dreams, dreams of other girls? Chacha says: 1) She has a lots of long-sleeved plaid shirts; 2) Her fingernails are always short; 3) She wears only sneakers, flats and boots; and themost telling sign, 4) “She loves Indigo Girls and Barbie Almalbis!” And this is a really tame number.
Says Chacha, “Like the radio show, [the book] tackles funny and naughty real-life issues about love, sex, and relationships—no holds barred!”
Emphasis on those last three words. Reading the more “adult” chapters at times feels like consulting with a drunken master—that is, the author unabashed, to the point of ranting, and uninhibited (more like, the opposite of refined).
“Napakasakit, Ate Chacha” is available in bookstores nationwide for P175.
