Apsa honors 67math topnotchers
THE ASIAN Psychological Services and Assessment (Apsa) recognized recently 67 topnotchers in the Standards-based Assessment in math for 2012-2013 during the 8th annual convention of the Math Circle of the Philippines.
The annual Apsa recognition for Grade 1-Year IV students who obtain the highest scaled ability score in math aims to boost mathematics education in the country. Apsa is the country’s leading testing organization.
A total of 67 out of 83,704 students or less than 10 percent of those who took the Standards-based Assessment (SBA) achieved the highest level of proficiency in math.
Apsa chair and chief executive officer Leticia M. Asuzano, with directors Dr. Rhoderick Santos and Richard Marquez, gave each honoree a gold medal.
