Soap and perfume making all in a day’s learning

GOLDEN Treasure Skills and Development Program will conduct a one-day seminar on soap making combined with perfume making at the College of Social Work and Community Development, Magsaysay Ave. cor. Ylanan St., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, on June 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Aside from soap and perfume, the seminar will also cover other hygiene products and give participants hands-on experience in making liquid dishwashing soap, liquid hand soap, liquid all-purpose soap, bar detergent soap, powder soap, dishwashing paste, herbal soap (papaya, oatmeal, kalamansi) glycerin (transparent bath soap), liquid bleach, fabric softener and liquid detergent soap.

Topics also include how to make household products such as tile and bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, air freshener, carpet shampoo, tire black and also body products such as body scrub, body wash, bubble bath, foot powder, hair shampoo, hand and body lotion, hand sanitizer and dog shampoo, as a bonus.

The seminar will also cover different types of perfume like perfume spray, cologne spray, eau de toilette, cream type perfume and many more.

Other topics to be covered include sourcing of materials, costing and marketing strategies. Participants will receive certificates of training right after the seminar. Lunch, snacks, handouts and all raw materials for hands-on activities will also be provided.
