The pinnacle of cutting-edge design

-

IN SEPTEMBER 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot unveiled a concept car that left no stone unturned: the Peugeot 308 RCZ.

With raves pouring in, the desire to turn it into a commercial reality became overwhelming. However, in order to achieve the transformation from dream to reality, Peugeot’s stylists and engineers required a lot of determination, daring and inventiveness. Together, they worked hand in hand to ensure that the vehicle was in keeping with the expectations of what was then forward-thinking exterior styling.

Initially, the goal was to stay true to the original styling of the concept car. But the stakes were raised when some very ambitious objectives were set in terms of driving dynamics and build quality. Still, the Peugeot developers persisted. After less than three short years of development, in April 2010, the Peu- geot RCZ was born. In November 2013, local Peugeot distributor Eurobrands Distributor Inc. wowed the Philippine market when it launched the RCZ alongside the 3008 Crossover, the 5008 Compact MPV and the 508 Executive Sedan.

Today, the RCZ is still available in Peugeot showrooms across the country—in its new, improved guise. A completely new front face, sporty and flowing, fully emphasizes the power of the new RCZ’s rear wings and the sensuous curves of its double bubble roof. This new synergy between front and rear gives the bodywork an entirely new expression—one that further solidifies the RCZ’s claim to being at the pinnacle of cutting-edge design.
