High-school students meet top basketball players
SPORTS-MINDED high-school students met and played with their favorite basketball players in Rain or Shine’s 3x3 Streetball Challenge at SM City Fairview.
A joint project of Ace Hardware and Adidas, the two-day event drew high-school students from the Ateneo de Manila, La Salle Green Hills, Xavier School, Grace Christian College, St. Stephen’s High School and Philippine Pasay Chung Hua Academy.
Arellano University, Far Eastern University, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Far Eastern University, Quezon City Science High School and Hope Christian High School also participated.
Rain or Shine players who took part in the meet were Raymond Almazan, Alex Nuyles, Raymond Araña and Jervy Cruz.
Winning the championship was Arellano, which was given P75,000 courtesy of Ace Hardware. St. Stephen’s High School was first runner-up, winning P50,000 from Rain or Shine; third was La Salle Greenhills, which got P25,000 courtesy of Adidas Philippines.
Named top player was Jason Strait from Arellano.
Rain or Shine Elasto hotshots Chris Tiu, Paul Lee, Gabe Norwood, Beau Belga, Jeff Chan and Jeric Teng thrilled fans when they attended the awarding ceremonies.
