The ‘almost perfect’ Sony Xperia Z3 (and family)

-

THE RAVE continues after the launch of Sony Xperia Z3. Its foremost selling point is having the “highest waterproof rating,” which allows users to take pictures underwater or under the rain.

Sony’s new flagship smartphone has a slim body and aluminum frame with 5.2inch full high-def display at 1920x1080 pixels. The 20.7 mp camera with auto-focus is something that shutterbugs swoon over. However, the front camera is only 2.2 megapixels.

The LTE-enabled smartphone runs on Google Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and Snapdragon 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor. Users have an option of expanding its 16 and 32 GB storage with microSD up to 128GB.

Sony fans probably saw it coming. Xperia Z3 is equipped with the PS4 Remote Play. It streams PS4 content to the phone and lets users play using the mobile phone. The Xperia Z3 sells for P34,990.

Then there’s the Xperia Z3 Compact intended to people who prefer a much smaller screen. It shares almost that of Xperia Z3’s features except that it has a smaller screen at 4.6 inches and a battery life of up to 14 hours of talk time.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet is a super light and super-slim tablet with stainless steel corners, an ultra slim frame and a tempered glass front. It measures 6.4 mm and weighs only 270 grams. The display is made of scratch resistant, durable tempered glass.

Like other family members, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is waterproof, which claims resistance to freshwater for up to 30 minutes, or even dive with it up to 1.5 m. It has a micro USB port and micro SIM. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact received an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of 65/68. This is a standard that measures a device’s resistance levels to both dust and water.
