Wallpaper City Guide to Manila launched
WITH more than 2 million copies sold worldwide, covering more than 100 destinations, Wallpaper City Guides has launched its first ever Manillle edition, dahlings.
Published by Phaidon Press in the United Kingdom, Wallpaper City Guides presents a tightly edited package for the design-conscious traveler, acting as a passport to the best sights the world has to offer.
Journalist, editor and publisher Cheryl Tiu was tapped as author, and Hong Kong-based journalist and editor Kissa Cas
tañeda-McDermott was contributor. They worked closely with the British team led by executive editor Jeremy Case and French photographer Pierre
Emmanuel Michel, who jetted in town to capture Manila sights for the book.
The Philippine launch party was held at Carlo Calma’s Manifesto Gallerie on the 12th Floor of the Clipp Center, with the “Obsession and Fetishes” exhibit as backdrop. Emcee was Tim
Yap.
Invitees sipped on Anna de Codorniu Blanc de Blancs; Viña Pomal Blanco 2012 and Viña Pomal Blanco 2011, from AWC Philippines, and Don Papa Rum cocktails such as Kapag Serious Ka, Coco Breeze and Don Papa Old Fashioned.

The guide was also launched in Hong Kong at the newly opened Chino restaurant at Kennedy Town. Cohosted by blogger/architect JJ Acuna, known as “The Wanderlister,” and Teresa Tay
zon, marketing manager of Puma, the launch gathered New York-based Filipino bag designer Rafé Totengco, Maison Kitsune founder Masaya Kuroki, Hong Kong marketing guru Fed Tan and Catch On Media Company founder Cathy Chon.
While the restaurant normally serves Mexican fare, chef
Erik Idos, formerly of Nobu Hotel, created Pinoy specials which guests couldn’t get enough of, dahlings.
Served were Gonzalez Byass to Villarnau Cava and Beronia Crianza, distributed both in Hong Kong (Amoroso) and the Philippines (Barcino).

OshKosh bash
Cinderella turned its big store in Glorietta into a colorful carnival of style and fun as OshKosh B’gosh celebrated its 27th awesome anniversary.
Invitees included loyal regular customers, but it was the kids who were the life of the bash. Fashionable tots struck the most adorable poses on a kiddie stage, dressed in cute and casual OshKosh B’gosh ensembles, as parents watched with pride and delivered loads of applause.

The bash was decorated with polka balloons. A magic show was held. Kids enjoyed the cup- cakes in vibrant red, yellow and blue colors. Freebies were also given out.

Mustela, the super skincare expert for babies and mothersto-be, held a bash at La Creperie Moderne in Salcedo Village, Makati.
Gorgeous mama Lexi Schulze-Berenguer Testa, who also happens to be a loyal fan of the brand, hosted the exclusive event.
During lunch, Mustela Philippines introduced its “Mustela moms,” such as beauty blogger
Shen Cala-or, fashion blogger Tin Dychiao and model Nicole Hernandez-de los Angeles, who shared their experience of pregnancy, giving birth, raising their babies, and how Mustela products helped them through the challenging but wonderful journey.
Three important product lines were given the spotlight, such as the Vitamin Barrier Cream 123 for babies’ diaper and rash protection, Stretch Mark Oil for new moms and pregnant women, and Mustela Sun Care for babies’ and children’s sun protection.
