Achieving balance in urban jungle

- By Theresa S. Samaniego

TO FIND peace amid chaos.

This, perhaps, is one of the more common challenges faced by those living in a concrete urban jungle, who have to tend with crowded streets and tight spaces that leave one inadequate room to breathe and relax at the end of the day.

And this lack of refuge—an ideal respite that could allow one to heal, rejuvenate and recharge —can be highly exhausting and draining at all levels.

So how does one deal with the hustle and bustle of city life?

Numerous studies have, in fact, shown how turning to “nature” can help ease the pressures and stress of the daily grind. Nature, many experts have claimed, has that immense capacity to heal the body, soothe the senses, and revitalize the mind. The gentle breeze in the countryside, the aesthetics of landscapes and seascape, the lush greenery and fresh blooms, among others are said to help stimulate the secretion of feelgood hormones.

This thus underscores the need for people to, every now and then, reconnect with nature as doing so can serve as a powerful antidote to a frantic, frenzied urban lifestyle. There are options nowadays to make it possible to have your slice of nature within the so-called urban jungle. These, however, entails huge costs and resources.

Fortunately, there are developers that value this concept and have deemed it practical to provide their homebuyers the perfect balance between modern day conveniences and the healing power of nature.

This is where the real challenge comes in because only a few can rightfully make that authentic claim that they are able to provide a serene enclave that is readily accessible for those who also enjoy and indulge on the perks that modern cities provide.

But for property developer Empire East, this is exactly what it claims to do best through Pioneer Woodlands, which was put up to allow people to experience the seamless balance between modernity and nature.

“Through Pioneer Woodlands, Empire East creates a custom environment with a design centered on integrating natural elements and modern sensibilities that is both aesthetically appealing, and significantly functional,” explained Empire East president and CEO Atty. Anthony Charlemagne C. Yu .

“The units are designed to appeal to young urban professionals and to students who have eventful, driven lifestyles. They are those who need to be out and about the city—with businesses and office responsibilities that require close proximity and their urgent expertise—but at the same aspire for the serene and tranquil feel that a laid back nature-centered lifestyle brings,” Yu further said.

Among its more notable features and amenities include tropical garden deck in between the towers, jogging trails, wading pool, and paved sunbathing deck among others —all of which cater to providing a holistic lifestyle for its owners. Add to that is the convenience of Pioneer Woodlands’ direct connection to the MRT, and proximity to key establishments and central business districts, which provide homeowners that hassle-free access to any point in the metro.

Given all the benefits that can be had from this stress-free and nature-inspired development, Pioneer Woodlands is indeed a wise and practical buy for potential homebuyers seeking for the ultimate in wellness, convenience and comfort.
