5TH Philippine summer ball holds ballroom championship with Enchanted Kingdom

THE 5TH INSTALLMENT of the annual prestigious National Dancesport Ballroom Competition proudly brings to you by the Philippines first and only world-class theme park Enchanted Kingdom.

For four consecutive years since 2011, the Philippine Summer Ball showcases Filipino excellence and expertise in ballroom dancing. It has received an enormous number of participation by Dancesport athletes nationwide. Through the years, ballroom dancing evolves into more rigorous choreography that requires intensive athleticism. Individuals undertake tough trainings for physical endurance and to deliver dynamic and graceful movements during performances.

This year Bong Marquez Group (BMG), in partnership with Enchanted Kingdom, Dancesport Council of the Philippines, and Dance Vision Arena, aims to make the dancing sport event a bigger annual athletic competition. BMG is a team of talented and passionate dance scholars committed in promoting ballroom dancing mastery as an art and as a form of sport.

The Dancing Sport Event is a two-day event: Ballroom Championship and Dance Congress. The Ballroom Championship will be on May 2, 2015 (Saturday) from 10:00AM to 8:00PM. It is the competition proper wherein the contestants are categorized according to their skills in dancing. It is open for beginners, amateur, pro-amateur and elite dancers. On May 3, 2015 (Sunday), from 12NN to 8:00PM, is the Dance Congress. During this event, there will be presentation of comprehensive lectures from highly-renowned Professional and Local Dancesport Champions. The 5th Summer Ball Event will be held at Enchanted Kingdom’s Enchanting Events Place in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The Philippine Summer Ball intends to inspire and encourage ballroom dancers of all ages to showcase their crafts, skills, disciplines and techniques while having the fun spirit of friendly competition.
