Hublot presents its new Big Bang Ferrari watches
NOW on its third year of collaboration, the partnership between Ferrari and Hublot is coming to an end as it presented its Big Bang Ferrari Black Ceramic and Grey Ceramic at the Baselworld 2015.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Big Bang collection, Hublot unveiled two new models developed with supercar maker Ferrari.
The first is called the Big Bang Ferrari Black Ceramic, distinguished by its details adorned in red color while the second one is called the Big Bang Ferrari Grey Ceramic, inspired by the historic NART (North America Racing Team) livery.
Constructed on a 45 mm diameter case in black or grey ce- ramic, the sporty design of these new Big Bang Ferrari models are enhanced by a profiled aerodynamic dial, and fitted with the Unico manufacture movement. With a total of 330 components, the Unico movement is designed, developed, machined and assembled by Hublot’s micro-mechanical engineers and watchmakers at Hublot. It features a practical flyback chronograph which can be reset at any time, a date indicator, 72 power reserve, a uniquely positioned mechanism with dual coupling, and the fa- mous "column wheel" visible on the dial side.
The dial features an appliqué of the iconic prancing horse at 9 o'clock, while the minute counter and date window appear at 3 o'clock in the colors of the Ferrari shield. Its oscillating weight that powers the movement was inspired by Ferrari’s five-spoke wheels, which is visible beneath its transparent sapphire case back.
The leather strap features a red or grey livery with "striping" reminiscent of that found on racing cars. It is equipped with the innovative "one click" attachment system inspired by car seat belts, making it easily interchangeable. Clearly displaying its affiliation with the automotive world, the new Big Bang Ferrari is available in two limited versions—black or grey ceramic—each numbering 250 pieces.
