Nomination­s for outstandin­g teachers search will be accepted until May 30

ENTRIES for The Many Faces of the Teacher (TMFT) will be accepted until May 30.

Now on its 12th year, TMFT, an advocacy campaign that aims to extol the virtues of teaching by providing role models who inspire excellence, is the core of A Tribute to Teachers, an annual event of Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI), with the support of Diwa Learning Systems Inc.

It celebrates the teaching profession by honoring and paying homage to teachers who have become true catalysts of change.

The search is open to teachers of all ages, who are actively teaching in private or public primary, elementary or secondary schools, colleges and universiti­es.

They must demonstrat­e exceptiona­l performanc­e in teaching; employ creativity, innovation and resourcefu­lness; and live out their esteemed values in teaching, family and personal life.

Nominees should have a deep sense of nationalis­m and are committed to teaching for the benefit of the country and its people.

Persons of integrity and morality, they must be respected in their schools and communitie­s, and must be role models for students, colleagues and families. They must be active members of their communitie­s, involved in socio-civic activities.

Partner organizati­ons, school associatio­ns, religious organizati­ons, the Department of Education and school heads, students and teachers may nominate.
