WE AT SUPER are fans of Witty Will Save The World. We’ve made friends sign Witty’s “Akala Mo Lang Wala Nang Slumbook, Pero Meron, Meron, Meron” Slumbook, and we look forward to their planners every year (2015’s “Relaks, Puso Lang ‘ Yan, Malayo Sa Bituka” is hilarious).
When we heard about “The Real Wedding of the Century,” Witty’s wedding guestbook, we knew we had to quiz Witty masterminds Antoinette Jadaone and Chinggay Nuque about it.
Why you decide to create a wedding guestbook?
We got the idea from our
customers. A few told us they used our slumbook as their wedding guestbook. So we thought, “Uy, pwede!”
Who worked on it?
Tonette wrote it and our artist Karl Castro designed it.
Which features are you most excited about?
Hmm. The ‘Bagay Ba Sila?’ and ‘Ano’ng Gift Mo?’ questions, and the options for What Happened At The Wedding? No other wedding guestbook will dare ask kung bagay ba ang bride o groom, ’di
ba? But someone has to ask!
What sets it apart from other wedding guestbooks?
There’s no other wedding guestbook like it! Ito lang ang wedding guestbook na ala- The Buzz at Fashion Pulis kung makitsismis sa kasal n’yo. Because your wedding is the real wedding of the century, no less! Also, nothing else speaks to you in Taglish, with a Pinoy humor. Guests will be encouraged to write something other than the usual Best Wishes and Congratulations! C’mon, Best Wishes and Congratulations for an event that celebrates true love?! Your guests have to write something more personal than that, right? Ano ba, konting effort naman d’yan, friends! Pinakain mo naman sila ng buffet, ’di ba? And this wedding guestbook will make that happen. It even has questions on how you met the couple and your favorite part of the wedding, making it more personal than any other guestbook.

a. The “Akala Mo Lang Wala Nang Slumbook Pero Meron, Meron, Meron!” Slumbook: Pilak Edition. This has been around since 2010 and the Pilak Edtion is the fourth edition (and fourth reprinting). It’s funnier than everrr!
b. In a few weeks we’ll be releasing The Ayoko na Siya Isipin, Busy Ako! Notebook, ang notebook na sasabayan kang kalimutan siya habang kunwari ay nagsusulat ka ng mga makabuluhang bagay sa notebook. Kahit alam naming siya pa rin, siya na lang, siya na lang uli.
c. In a few months, our first storybook, Tonette’s “The Arrow with a Heart Pierced Through Him,” as seen in the
film “That Thing Called Tadhana.” Yes, that book that Anthony illustrated for Mace, as well as a journal series with a humorous twist!
What kind of couples do you imagine purchasing the guestbook?
Couples who do not want their guestbook to be filled with the usual Best Wishes! and Congratulations!, the hip and cool brides and grooms, who want to juice out the special memories, special messages, special tsismis from their guests! And because after all, kahit hindi ka si Prince William at Kate Middleton, your wedding deserves to be called the wedding of the century, kahit sa wedding guestbook lang.
