Influential insider loses in power struggle

- By the Entertainment Staff

IT WAS only a matter of time.

There had been rumblings for months and, finally, the inevitable came to pass.

Influential Insider’s wings were not just clipped considerably, a spy revealed.

After yet another round of bitter in-fighting, bosses gave II the boot. Ouch!

II had lost everything in a fierce power struggle.

Principal’s office

Since the competition is riding high, staffers of a Troubled Enterprise were supposedly summoned to the principal’s office once again.

It’s a fairly normal occurrence, but this time the scolding stung more than usual.

Is it because TE’s staffers had to explain to the bosses why they missed a golden opportunity to hire Hot Newbie?

Threatened much

Popular Personality is getting antsy of late. Seeing the numbers plummet to the basement was hard on PP’s ego.

The coup de grace came rather unexpectedly and was delivered by people who are not as famous (and notorious)—at least as far as PP is concerned.

File under T for Threatened by neophytes.

Ignore mode

Handlers are guarding Rising Star like a hawk.

Apparently one has to go through a phalanx of assistants before RS can be reached for anything.

Not so long ago, RS would gleefully respond to questions via e-mail or Facebook.

Not anymore.

Auto erotic

From the INQUIRER tabloid Bandera: Closeted Veteran scores big with Newbie Cutie who is also secretly gay.

NC and CV managed to squeeze in a onetime tryst on the set.

NCand CV vanished for a spell, indulging in forbidden pleasures in the latter’s car.

It’s not the first time for CV to do the deed in his vehicle.

Nor will it be the last.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s

“Startalk” on GMA 7 (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Joey de Leon on “Eat Bulaga!” posting its highest rating this year last Aug. 12 because of AlDub: “Simple siyang kasaysayan—Pinoy na Pinoy.” (How long will this saga run?)

Alden Richards, asked if doing a movie with screen partner Maine Mendoza was a possibility: “Hindi po malabo.” (Strike while the iron is hot.)

Aiko Melendez on criticisms she’s not helping half-brother Jam, who reportedly has a drug problem: “Unfair naman na sabihing hindi ko tinutulungan… I’ve helped him many times.” (Fair enough.)

Donita Rose on her marital problems with Eric Villarama: “Before, may miscommunication… But at the end of the day, I still love him.” (Oh.)
