Melissa Gohing - Volleyball superstar, Athlete
Sports and fitness is an athlete's bread and butter. Even volleyball superstar Melissa is always on top of their workout game.
What is your fitness routine? "I love cardio. I try to run from my condo's ground floor to the roof top, then do some core exercises and weights in the gym. During volleyball season or off season I do Pilates for my back injury and Crossfit, for strengthening/conditioning."
How do you find time to work out? "I "require" myself to exercise daily. But if my schedule doesn't permit, then I just do some core workouts in my room."
What motivates you? "Setting a goal drives me to push harder and harder everyday. As an athlete, it's already a lifestyle for us to keep ourselves in shape. Missing a day of training is like 2 steps backward on reaching your goal."
Any fitness advice or mantra? It's never a question of "Can you do it?" but "Will you do it?" Ask yourself: "When will you start?" "Will you still keep on going?"
Rizza Diaz-Sportscaster
Rizza is no stranger to sports and exercise. Being surrounded by athletic people as part of her job description, it inspires her to no end.
What is your fitness routine? "I do plyo to strengthen my legs, med balls to work out my core and for strength, I do weight lifting. I'm trying to gain more toned muscles, so functional workout suits me best. I also try to workout as I go about my day, like opting to use the stairs, walking, helping people carry their things, etc."
How do you find time to work out? "Despite my busy schedule I always make time for it. A fitness routine is just like marriage, you can't cheat on it and expect it to work out."
What motivates you? "I'm around the athletic guys most of the time, so that is inspiring. I want to do more and be more than what I already am. I want to surprise people with how strong I can be and hopefully encourage and inspire them, too."
Any fitness advice or mantra? "I love to eat, so if I want to eat I should workout. Try an exercise and commit to it. It's never gonna be easy but exercising is something you owe to yourself. Once you see the results, it's addicting."
