Fall/Winter 2015 Collection Launch
Spanish brand ( Sfera ) recently launched its Fall/Winter 2015 Collection at The SM Store Makati.
Seen taking first dibs on its latest collection were beauty queens Bb. Pilipinas Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Bb. Pilipinas International Bianca Guidotti, one of the brand’s Digital Style Ambassadors, Tricia Gosingtian; as well as members of Manila’s stylish set: Jackie Go, Chinky Apostol, and Nicole Aguinaldo.
The Spanish Embassy’s Barbara Apraiz de Encio, and fashion media mavens – Jane Kingsu-Cheng, Liza Ilarde, Pauline Suaco-Juan, Daryl Chang, and Myrza Sison – enjoyed a visual fashion feast.
Hosted by the stylish Karen Pamintuan, Sfera’s fashion-forward guests were treated to an afternoon of delightful bites, and Sfera canvas bags with a Soleil Ignacio illustration. The event’s highlight was an exciting fashion vignette of Sfera’s Fall/Winter collection enhanced by hair and make-up styling styling by Blo Blow Dry Bar and The Body Shop.
In its Fall 2015 Collection, Sfera ushers in two major trends for women: a sophisticated ‘70s look and a nostalgic, Romantic style with dramatic overtones.
High-waist denim bell bottoms, long, billowy sleeves in dainty fabrics, and tasteful embroidery bring us back to the memorable decade of the 1970s, where the feminine figure is highlighted in cinched waists and the hippie-era style is seen in wide-legged bottoms.
Distinct fabrics such as cord and velveteen, and unique features such as decorated lapels and pom-pom detail, add a bohemian touch to classic pieces like the blouse, sweater, and jacket.
Denim makes an important appearance in this trend, seen in fine details of coats and capes, and a variety of jeans styles. The ‘70s trend captures a color palette that includes mustard, marsala, black, and other earthy tones.
Sfera Man focuses its collection on garments with an Urban Casual look. A tribute to Retro London is established in the bright blues and khakis enriched with red detailing of the pieces from the Collection. The casual American, preppy school boy cuts in style is given a makeover with darker tones, while denim plays a large role in the collection
Sfera Kids and Sfera Babies present a fun collection for children with bright colors and comfortable garments with trendy hints. For girls, skirts and dresses are modernized with a ‘70s look, seen in suede dresses and swingy, trapeze styles. For boys, the color mustard is mixed in with a variety of blues, greens, and greys, presenting the new color trend of the season. ( Sfera ) is located at 2/F SM Makati, its first store in Asia.
