TYCOON Lucio Tan-led Eton Properties is set to expand its office leasing portfolio through 2018 in anticipation of sustained demand from the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector.

In a statement, Eton Properties said it had completed the development of four career hubs and more projects were in the pipeline this year until 2018 to meet the expected increase in demand.

Marie Angeli Samala, Eton Properties’ first vice president for property management, said Eton was “now helping to address future requirements for office spaces gener- ated by expansion programs of the industry by an additional 200,000 square meters of space.”

Part of Eton Properties’ expansion plans is a BPO and technology campus in its 1,000-hectare township of Eton City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Inspired by the likes of Silicon Valley in California and Bangalore, India, the new hub will offer office solutions on a design-and-build basis to suit the clients’ specific requirements.

The premier campus will offer 190,000 sqm of office lots, greenthemed roads, retail strips and a dormitory, with a transportation annex for shuttles and buses bringing commuters to and from different parts of Laguna and Metro Manila.

Eton City also has its residential and lifestyle components, apart from the employment opportunities at the proposed technology campus. It also provides homes for over 2,000 households in its four residential villages.

In Makati City, Eton’s upcoming WestEnd Square is a mixed-use development envisioned to be the home of professionals and executives, who prefer to reside within the premier central business district. In Quezon City, Eton will soon break ground for the 25-story Cyberpod Centris Five, the fifth BPO facility in Eton Centris which is located beside the MRT station along Edsa and Quezon Avenue.
