According to Chusuey, the architecture and design of their resorts in Boracay served as inspiration for Henann Resort Alona Beach’s overall look and feel. “We also utilized local materials like laminated shells and coconuts to showcase the natural beauty of the Philippines,” he added.

The resort has three massive, pools with sunken bars. Other amenities are open-air venue for weddings, fitness and business centers, and a mini shop. Opening soon is a VIP lounge. Such famous Henann brands as Kai Spa, allday-buffet Sea Breeze Beach Club and western fine-dining restaurant Christina’s will be operational by third quarter of the year.

Chusuey said: “We build resorts with our clients first in our minds. We make it worth their stay whether they are with us for short- or long-term. We always give our guests the best possible service as the goal is to make them happy from the moment they check in until they leave.”

He added: “We also make it a priority to give back to the community by employing locals. We currently have a staff of 450 and most of them are Boholanos.”

Biggest in Bohol

The three-story, state-of-the-art convention center is conveniently located across the Henann resort. The biggest in Bohol, it can accommodate up to 1,000 seated guests and 1,500 for cocktail setup. The 2,160-square-meter facility has 13 breakout rooms that can accommodate 30 to 390 people per room. The meeting rooms can comfortably host 30 to 70 people.

Chusuey said: “We consider Henann Resort Alona Beach a milestone in our company’s 17year history as this is our first property outside Boracay. We had our soft opening in May of this year and we have been getting positive feedback since.”
