IQS 2.0: Pushing integration of digital analytics into quality management

-

ON OCTOBER 28, The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines Quality Council (IBPAPQC), the quality process management arm of the premier business process outsourcing organization in the Philippines, will be bringing up the integration of digital analytics and quality standards for Philippinebased outsourcing companies as part of the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) Quality Summit 2.0.

The main goal of the event, which carries the theme “Age of Digital Analytics,” is to familiarize local companies about these new quality management standards, as well as on digital analytics. This way, they can adapt faster to the increasing quality process requirements being set by their clients here and abroad.

“Technology has enabled the Philippines to serve various voice and back-office requirements. That being said, many of our clients are switching to more advanced quality management standards,” says Rommel Ignacio, Chairman of the IBPAP Quality Council. “We need to be a step ahead of the curve and to become advocates of quality assurance and digital analytics ourselves.”

Among the main concerns that continue to confound Philippine-based companies offering services to a global market is the use of growing amount of raw data stored by digitization of databases. With many multinational firms already adapting to technology-centric quality standards, service providers and suppliers to these companies struggle to adjust.

According to Ignacio, digital analytics is proving to be a useful tool to utilize data to benefit the processes of the service provider. However, certain standards have to be implemented first to assure the quality of the data and its subsequent result.

“Business outsourcing firms have to contend with large amounts of client data. With digital analytics, not only will you be able to use that data to improve your services, more so to create new types of services,” says Ignacio.

Sharing their experiences will be several experts from the Bureau of Philippine Standards, Teradata, SPI Global, MeteoGroup, Maersk, Cognizant, the Philippine Society for Quality, among others.

Topics included in IQS 2.0 include the Philippines as a com- pliance advocate for outsourced service providers across the Asia-Pacific region; unique uses by companies from other industries of analytics-centric quality management standards; and building quality leaders within the company.

The event will also have a presentation on the landscape of analytics use among Philippine ITBM companies.

IQS 2.0: Age of Digital Analytics will be held at the Marriott Hotel Manila on October 28, 2015. It is co-organized by the IBPAP Quality Council in partnership with Media Focus.
