Mahindra gets into aggressive dealer expansion mode in PH

-

MAHINDRA, India’s leading automotive brand, is on an aggressive expansion swing in the Philippines.

This is evident in the planned opening of at least seven new dealerships all over the country before the end of the year, on top of the six full dealerships now already in operation.

The six dealerships include Las Piñas City, Quirino Avenue in Manila, Tramo in Pasay City, Gorordo Avenue in Cebu City, and Butuan and Cagayan de Oro cities.

Asianbrands Motor Corp. (AMC), authorized distributor of Mahindra in the country, in a press statement announced that dealerships in Mandaue, Cebu, Nueva Ecija, Sto. Tomas in Batangas, Palawan, Cubao in Quezon City, and Davao are set to open before the end of the year.

Eleven more branches are in various stages of preparation for their scheduled opening in the first six months of 2016.

These include Talisay in Cebu, Bohol, Con- gressional Avenue in Quezon City, Bulacan; La Trinidad in Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Baguio City, Sariaiya in Quezon, Lipa City and Isabela.

Mahindra’s aggressive dealer expansion program is tied in with its plan to launch a fullscale marketing effort to seize a foothold in the light commercial vehicle market.

It also aims to provide adequate aftersales support to the more than 1,400 Mahindra Enforcer patrol units it is providing the Philippine National Police, thru a company-won bidding process last year.

“It’s a tandem move that meshes well with our marketing offensive,” said Felix J. Mabilog Jr., president of Asianbrands Motors Corp.

“As we create a strong market presence for Mahindra Enforcer through government sales, we will also explore the possibility of going into commercial sales which is equally lucrative,” he added.

The Mahindra Enforcer unit is the vehicle of choice for some of the world’s military and police forces in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

“Mahindra Enforcers are sturdy vehicles, reliable and dependable,” said Mabilog.

“The Mahindra Enforcer’s most attractive come-on is its price. You pay no more than what you need,” he added.
