The best you’ll ever meat - Mayura Station’s Full-blood Wagyu beef

The Mayura Station considered is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected pastoral operations. Its land is sculptured with rich healthy rolling hills and fertile soils, combined with moderate climate, sparkling clean water, favorable and reliable rainfall. Located in the Limestone Coast of south Australia, it is at the heart of some of the best farming country in Australia, ideal for producing the ultimate quality, award winning Wagyu beef. Establishe­d in 1845, Mayura Station imported 100% Full-blood Wagyu cattle into Australia in 1997 and just like thoroughbr­ed horses, the herd’s ancestry, bloodlines and pedigree are a major distinguis­hing factor in the quality of its Full-blood Wagyu beef.

In just a few years, it won the 2001 South Australian Meat Industry awards for excellence. In recent years, it bagged the prestigiou­s Gold Medal at the Australian Wagyu Associatio­n Branded Beef awards for three consecutiv­e years (2012 to 2014) and won the 2013 Gold Medal at the Australian Wagyu Associatio­n Branded beef awards.

After decades of performanc­e breeding, Mayura Station identified superior breeding lines and operates on a sustainabl­e vertically integrated two-stage breeding process to create some of the best Wagyu beef outside of Japan. The two-stage operation delivers specially formulated rations that ensure the ultimate eating experience of unparallel­ed flavor profile, tenderness, succulent juiciness, silky mouth feel.

During its first stage, the Wagyu cattle are fed specially with formulated diets and roam in 10,000 m2 cells. Cattle are moved from cell to cell to allow for pasture to rest. These cells are all strategica­lly placed on limestone hills guaranteei­ng that its cattle receive their calcium requiremen­ts naturally. Its second stage involves barn-sheltered feeding inside in what has become affectiona­tely known as the “Mayura Moo Cow Motel”, the cattle is given a “5-star” barn area furbished with saw dust floors that provides the ultimate in animal comfort. Here, the cattle are fed a traditiona­l slow growth diet that helps improve meat texture. All beef from Mayura Station is HGP free and antibiotic free.
