RFG & Co. Brief History & Milestones for 35 years

1981: Ramon F. Garcia establishe­d his own company on March 1 inside a rented apartment with a box of calling card, one ream of letterhead and a borrowed table. His first client is the Philippine Orchard Corporatio­n.

1982: A year later, RFG & Co., transferre­d his office in Bangkal, Makati with the ground floor serving as the office while the upper floor became the residence of his brother-partner.

1984: Embarked on an innovative registrati­on system to ensure the smooth registrati­on of thousands of participan­ts from different parts of the world in the 8th World Congress of Anaesthesi­ologists.

1985: Moved to a bigger location, sharing an office space with the Makati Jaycees at the ADC Building in Ayala Avenue, Makati City. The company's Vision and Mission Statement was drafted. It became the company's guiding principle since then.

1986: Barclay Internatio­nal Marketing Corp., a pioneer in network marketing in the Philippine­s, inked an agreement with the company. The company clinched its first account in computeriz­ation—Colegio San Agustin's payroll system.

1987: As the company grew, it transferre­d to a new address in Goodyear Building (now Waltermart) at Arnaiz St. (formerly Pasay Road).

1989: Establishe­d an Informatio­n Systems Services Division (ISSD) which then introduced the company to a promising future in the field of informatio­n technology.

1991: In April, CSA’s computeriz­ed registrar and enrolment system was finally completed. Through its quick and systematic operations, CSA became known as one of the country’s first few schools with an integrated computeriz­ed enrolment system.

1992: Moved its office to the second floor of Buendia Shopping Plaza. Faced challenges within its ISSD and emerged triumphant over them.

1993: Establishe­d its ISSD as a separate entity named Ramon F. Garcia Consultanc­y, Inc. (renamed First Serv-IT, Inc. in 2000). This new company catered to the IT requiremen­ts of the mother company’s clients until it acquired a clientele of its own.

1994: Moved to the heart of the Makati Business District—at the fourth floor of the Manila Bank Building in Ayala Avenue.

1997: RFG & Co.'s FSIT has successful­ly enhanced its computeriz­ed payroll system.

1998: Growth continued to go uphill. By this time, RFG & Co.'s staff reached 50. It was also this year that RFG & Co. got accepted with the prestigiou­s TAG Internatio­nal, one of the leading internatio­nal organizati­ons of accountant­s.

2002: The company became a member firm of AGN Internatio­nal, the 12th largest accountant­s’ organizati­on in the world with 199 member firms in 83 countries.

2003: Finally bought its own office at the 30th Floor of Burgundy Corporate Tower in Sen. Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City. By this time, the staff grew to 75.

2007: Enhanced it’s File Management System.

2008: Became a Member of Crowe Horwath Internatio­nal, a network that consists of more than 140 independen­t accounting and advisory services firms and 640 offices in more than 100 countries around the world and is ranked among the top 10 global accounting networks.

2010: Forged a partnershi­p with Mervin Reyes to form Vision Core Consultanc­y, Inc. (VCCI) to align with Crowe Horwath Internatio­nal Global Corporate Advisory.

2011: Admitted Lilibeth “Ting” I. Samonte in the partnershi­p. She was formally welcome in the 30th anniversar­y of the company.

2013: Japan Desk Launching. After its launched, Japanese clients started to come in.

2014: Firm experience­d the growth of Japanese foreign clients up to the present……

FSIT was formally establishe­d as a firm to provide integrated business applicatio­n software for small and midsize businesses. EXPAT is a company that assists relocating multinatio­nal companies’ expats in getting Philippine Residence

RFGCo.’s reliabilit­y is authentica­ted through its accreditat­ions by various institutio­ns such as the Securities and Exchange Co mission, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Board of Accountanc­y, Insurance Commission, Cooperativ­e Developmen­t Authority, Bureau of Internal Revenue and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. (PCAOB)

The partners—Josefino F. Garcia, Nhorie L. Paguio, and Lilibeth “Ting” I. Samonte— merged with Mr. Ramon F. Garcia in strengthen­ing its reputation of reliabilit­y in the business by instilling the core values of competence, integrity, honesty, quality, humility, industry, excellence and determinat­ion to all employees.

The company and its partners also expand its horizons by joining and actively participat­ing in profession­al, business, and civic organizati­ons.
